Gary Jennings has been Lead Pastor of Calvary Temple since October 2002. Previous to this, he served as Senior Pastor at Thompson Pentecostal Assembly in Thompson Manitoba for fourteen years. He is responsible for the spiritual direction of our church and for casting overall congregational and staff vision. Gary strongly believes that nothing will energize and thrust a church forward like vision plus action. The scripture that is a constant motivation for him is Proverbs 29:18 which says “Where there is no vision, the people perish…”

Besides his love for the church Pastor Gary also enjoys automobiles. He enjoys restoring vehicles that have been damaged or neglected by others, and then standing back and admiring the finished product. If he could drive a different vehicle everyday of the week, he would be in his glory.

Pastor Gary also enjoys yard work and he distinctively loves springtime when he can examine all his trees for fresh new buds in preparation for the upcoming growing season. That’s a lot of examining, especially since he planted more than 500 trees on his acreage.

Pastor Gary’s wife’s name is Lana, and they have two boys, Gary Junior and Matthew. He also has a German Shepherd who helps him chase the deer out of his yard.
