A Worship Workshop with Brian Doerksen
In this live in person workshop Brian will encourage you to write the songs that are uniquely yours to write, exploring subjects like overcoming the resistance that keeps your song locked up, writing for the gap so you are competing with no one but yourself, writing in your signature style and learning your mother tongue. You’ll learn why songs start as seeds and the importance of being a seed collector. The workshop will also explore structure that supports your emerging songs, using A based structures as a viable alternative to verse / chorus, finding words that long to sing and finding a fresh way to say the familiar. Woven through the workshop, Brian will share the inspiring stories behind some of his well-known songs.
